On November 2, 2002, the Bankruptcy Court administering the Kaiser companies' respective chapter 11 cases entered an order which established January 31, 2003 as the General Bar Date applicable to General Claims against the following Kaiser companies:

    Kaiser Aluminum Corporation
    Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corporation
    Akron Holding Corporation
    Kaiser Alumina Australia Corporation
    Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Investment, Inc.
    Kaiser Aluminium International, Inc.
    Kaiser Aluminum Properties, Inc.
    Kaiser Aluminum Technical Services, Inc.
    Kaiser Bellwood Corporation
    Kaiser Finance Corporation
    Kaiser Micromill Holdings, LLC
    Kaiser Sierra Micromills, LLC
    Kaiser Texas Sierra Micromills, LLC
    Kaiser Texas Micromill Holdings, LLC
    Oxnard Forge Die Company, Inc.
    Alwis Leasing, LLC
    Kaiser Center, Inc.

On March 17, 2003, the Bankruptcy Court entered a second order which established May 15, 2003 as the General Bar Date applicable to General claims  and July 14, 2003 as the bar date applicable to claims of governmental units   against the following Kaiser companies:

    Alpart Jamaica Inc.
    KAE Trading, Inc.
    Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Canada Investment Limited (Canada)
    Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical of Canada Limited (Canada)
    Kaiser Bauxite Company
    Kaiser Center Properties
    Kaiser Export Company
    Kaiser Jamaica Corporation
    Texada Mines Ltd. (Canada)

Both Bar Date orders provide that, pursuant to Bankruptcy Rule 3003(c)(2), any individual or entity that fails to file a proof of claim in the respective chapter 11 cases of these Kaiser companies by the applicable Bar Date shall be forever barred, estopped and enjoined from: 

    (a) asserting any General Claim against the above Kaiser companies that the individual or entity has that

      (i) is in an amount that exceeds the amount, if any, that is identified in the official schedules that have been filed with the Bankruptcy Court on behalf of such individual or entity as undisputed, noncontingent and liquidated or

      (ii) is of a different nature or a different classification than any claim identified in the official schedules have been filed with the Bankruptcy Court on behalf of such individual or entity; or

    (b) voting upon, or receiving distributions under, any plan or plans of reorganization in these chapter 11 cases in respect of any claim not identified in the official schedules have been filed with the Bankruptcy Court.

A "General Claim" is a claim of any kind, including trade creditor claims, product liability and warranty claims, claims for unpaid invoices or work performed, environmental claims, and personal injury claims or wrongful death claims, that arose before the date that the applicable Kaiser company filed for chapter 11, but it does not include any claims that are asbestos-related personal injury claims.
